Jammu/ June,12 : Police in Jammu on Saturday said that it has arrested one vehicle lifter in Rehari area of Jammu city.
In a statement issued on Saturday police said “an information was received at P P Rehari from one person namely Chintan Gupta S/o Dwarka nath Gupta R/o Rehari colony Jammu wherein he state that his activa scooty bearing Registration No. Jk02BB/1392 which was parked outside Science and technology Office Rehari was stolen by some unknown thieves”.
Stating that case FIR No. 109/21 u/s 379 IPC was registered at PS Pacca Danga and subsequently investigation was also started, police in it’s statement further said ” special police teams of PS Pacca Danga under the supervision of SDPO North Sh. Sharad Kalu were constituted and the team led by SHO PS Pacca Danga Inspr. Ajit Singh assisted by I/C PP Rehari SI Ahmed Din after stern efforts and with the help of technical assistance rounded up three suspects out of which one accused namely Harsh Dev Mehra S/o late Madan Lal Mehra R/o old Rehari Jammu confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen scooty was recovered from his possession”.
