Jammu/June,12: Police in Jammu on Saturday said that Police Station Bus Stand Jammu has solved a theft case and also arrested one accused in this connection.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that a complaint was lodged in P/S Bus Stanad by one shop owner namely Rajesh kumar S/O Babu Ram R/O Muthi, Tehsil Jammu, Distt. Jammu regarding theft in his shop by some unknown thieves.
Stating that case FIR No. 37/2021, U/S 457/380 IPC was registered at P S Bus stand and investigation were started subsequently , police in it’s statement further said that after this special police teams of PS Bus Stand under the supervision of SDPO North Sharad Kalu were constituted and team led by SHO PS Bus Stand Inspr. Deepankar Singh after using the technical aid and with the help of various CCTV footages of the area finally got a lead that the criminal was in Kashmir area”.
Revealing that a special team was sent to Kashmir and finally with the assistance of local police the accused namely Parvaiz ahmed S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Zuhrama, tehsil Tregaam, Distt. Kupwara, kashmir was arrested and brought to PS Bus Stand, police in it’s statement also said that during sustained questioning accused confessed his involvement in the above case and on his disclosure stolen items were also recovered from his possession and further investigation of the case is going on.
