Srinagar:Amid surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths, Police have registered 20 FIRs and arrested 27 violators ,besides realising fine of Rs11,14,800/- from 6729 ,besides ,six vehicles were also seized for violating COVID- norms in Bandipora in the last 24 hours for defying the prevailing lockdown restrictions aimed at containing the disease transmission.
In a statement issued on Friday police said that it is taking all measures to implement strict lockdown restriction announced by the government for containing community transmission of the covid -19 pandemic.
Stating that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic, police in the concluded para of it’s above referred statement appealed people to cooperate with the them in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/ protocols for the safety of the people. Police in it’s statement also reiterated that the special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.
