Handwara :A bike rider was killed while two pillion riders sustained injuries on Friday in a road accident at Thokerpora Kralgund area in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Sources said that a load carrier bearing registration number JK05J-8445 and bike collided, resulting in on-spot death of a bike rider while two others suffered injuries in the accident.
The deceased has been identified as Jazib Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat of Langate while the injured have been identified as Aamir Ahmad Bhat, son of Ali Mohammed Bhat of Safalpora and Junaid Ramzan Ganaie, son of Mohammad Ramzan Ganaie of Behrampora.
They said that both the individuals have suffered minor injuries and were rushed to District Hospital Handwara for treatment from Kralgund after receiving first aid there.
An official at the DH Handwara said that both the injured are out of danger and stable
