Srinagar: Police in Baramulla on Friday said that it has recovered a girl who was abducted and arrested one person involved in the crime.
In a statement issued here on Friday police said “Police Post Wusan received an information from one person namely Ghulam Hassan Dar son of Abdul Khaliq Dar resident of Tengpora Pattan wherein he stated that his daughter has been kidnapped by one person identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Tengpora Pattan, District Baramulla”. Police in it’s statement further said that a case vide FIR No.138/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan.
Stating that on receipt of this information, officers from Police Station Pattan swung into action and recovered the abducted girl from Tengpora crossing area of Pattan, police in it’s statement said that the accused involved in the commission of the crime has also been arrested.
Police in a statement further said that after completing the medico-legal formalities, the recovered girl was handed over to her legal heirs. Further investigation into the case is going on.
