Anantnag: On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla, National Informatics Centre of the district has developed a system to utilise Short Message Service (SMS) of the said centre for dissemination of information regarding Covid-19 RT PCR tests conducted at RTPCR Testing Laboratory, GMC Anantnag.
Technical Director, NIC, Jan Mubarak informed that people will get the reports and the status about their RT PCR tests via this SMS Service. This will save time of Medical Staff and also reduce the rush of people to hospitals who visit there for enquiring about the result of their Covid-19 tests, he added.
It was further given out that the service will be offered on complimentary basis to GMC Anantag as they had requested for it. Launched on Tuesday, SMSs to 693 persons were sent on the first day under this service.
The people and the medical fraternity at GMC hailed district administration and NIC for developing the system in minimum possible time.
