58 bovine animals rescued in Jammu, Six accused arrested: Police

Jammu: Police in Jammu on Wednesday said that it has arrested 58 bovine animals at Jhajjar Koti and arrested six accused in this connection.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said “ in a massive drive against bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 58 bovine animals at different locations and also seized six different vehicles bearing Registration Nos. JK20A 4134, JK02AC 6922, JK02AB 7409, JK02B 3243, JK02CK 0452 and JK02AD 6157.

Stating that different cases FIR No. 258/2021, FIR. No. 259/2021 & FIR
No. 260/2021 under relevant sections of law got registered in police
station Nagrota and different cases under relevant sections got registered
at PS Jhajjar Kotli and six accused got arrested, police in it’s statement further said “the accused arrested have been identified as: Mohd Sadeeq S/o Mohd Shafi R/o Kans Khass Tehsil and District Reasi, arrested by PS Jhajjar Kotli Mohd. Saleem S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Kans Khass Tehsil and District Reasi, arrested by PS Jhajjar Kotli Mohd. Sharif S/o Mohd Yaqoob R/o Gatro Tehsil Akhnoor District Jammu, arrested by PS Jhajjar Kotli, Murad Ali S/o Naik Alam R/o Kandayala, arrested by PS Nagrota, Mohd Mushtaq S/o Mohd Mirza R/o Arnas Reasi, arrested by PS Nagrota, Mohd Mehroof S/o Fisha R/o Kans Khassan, arrested by PS Nagrota.

In its statement polce also said that the arrest and recoveries have been made by SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr. Mohd Showkat and SHO PS Jhajjar Kotli Inspr. Devinder Singh in their respective jurisdictions, adding therein that the overall arrest and recoveries have been made under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Sh. Parupkar Singh. Further investigation of the cases is going on.
