Srinagar: The J&K Lakes & Waterways Development Authority Tuesday convened 114th meeting of the Building Permission Authority under the Chairmanship of the Vice Chairman, J&K-LDA at Miskeen Bagh, here.
The meeting was convened under Control of Building Operations Act, 1988 through Building permission Authority, J&K LDA.
The agenda for the meeting was discussed threadbare and a total of 50 cases were decided upon by the BPA on merits. .
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman J&K LDA who is also the Chairman of BOCA has requested the people residing in the local jurisdiction of LDA to apply for proper building permission through its building permission authority, before starting any sort of Construction.
It was given out that the construction raised illegally shall be dealt seriously under law and will be demolished.
Among others, Chief Town Planner, Joint Commissioner (P) SMC, Executive Engineer Electric Inspection Division, PHE, UEED, Naib Tehsildar (Collector LDA), representatives Executive Engineer Lake Division 1st LDA, Tehsildar North, Tehsildar Khanyar, and Law officer LDA as members of the Building Permission Authority were present in the meeting.
