Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Tuesday exhorted upon the nodal officers designated for ensuring smooth vaccination process for 18-44 years in the district to ensure strong monitoring and coordination at all levels for covering all priority groups at an earliest.
The DC gave this direction during a meeting convened here to review the progress of vaccination drive for 18-44 years of age and other priority groups in the district.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held on the vaccination target achieved since its launch, availability of vaccine, mobilization, status of vaccination sites and second dose vaccination for Heath Care Workers and other frontline workers.
The DC sought data from the concerned officers of priority groups including Yatra service providers, shopkeepers, drivers, people with co-morbidities and other priority groups.
The CMO briefed the DC about the total population of priority groups vaccinated till date and status of vaccination sites established for achieving the target within time frame.
The meeting also reviewed the occupancy in Covid Care Centres (CCCs) and DC urged all designated nodal officers to hold regular meetings at block level and motivate all such positive patients in rural areas who do not have isolation facility at their homes to avail the services of CCCs.
While reviewing the status of vaccination, the DC asked the nodal officers to adopt innovative ideas for maximum mobilization of target groups so that the targets are achieved on a daily basis.
The meeting also discussed the status of vaccination for Health Care Workers and other frontline workers who are due for second dose of vaccination for which the DC asked the CMO to prepare the list of all such persons and start vaccination at an earliest.
The DC sought cooperation among all departments and better liaison with the local PRIs so that vaccination of targeted groups is achieved in time.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, CPO, CMO, DFO, Dy. CEO and others concerned.
