Murder case solved in Channi Himmat Jammu,One accused arrested: Police

Jammu/ June,7 : Police in Jammu on Monday said that it has solved a murder case in Channi Himat area of Jammu city and also arrested one accused in this connection.
In a statement issued on Monday police said “a complaint was on June 3  received from one person namely Kuldeep Singh R/o Nanak Nagar A/p Sainik Colony Jammu who statement therein that a dead body with injuries was found in his under construction house at Sainik colony”.
Stating thatPolice party of PP Sainik Colony reached the spot and called team of FSL which conducted crime photography and videography of the scene of crime, the police in it’s statement further said that the dead body was shifted to GMC Jammu and case under FIR No. 104/2021 u/s 302 IPC was registered at PS Channi Himmat and investigation started”.
Police in it’s statement further said that special police teams of P/S Channi Himmat under the supervision of SDPO East Sh. Bikram Kumar were constituted after which police team led by SHO P/S Channi Himmat Inspr. Karan Chalotra assisted by  I/C PP Sainik Colony SI Rahul Dogra by connecting the various leads ascertained that the dead body was identified as Mahesh Harijan Verma S /o Kashi Parsad R /o Chattarpur Madhya Pradesh A/p Slum area Sec C, Sainik Colony Jammu. Stating that a suspect namely Gauri Prasad S/O Kashi Prasad who happens to real elder brother of the deceased, was rounded up, police in the concluding para of it’s above referred statement said that during sustained questioning the accused confessed his involvement in the above case and deposed that  he had killed his brother over some heated arguments”. Police in it’s statement also said that further investigation of the case is going on.
