Jammu/June,6 : The Kishtwar-Sinthan road, connecting Kishtwar in Jammu region with south Kashmir”s Anantnag, was on Sunday reopened for medical emergencies, officials said .
Kishtwar Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma ordered that only the vehicles carrying the patients for medical-related emergencies would be allowed to move towards Srinagar and vice versa through Kishtwar- Sinthan route, the officials said. Quoting the order, they said timing of the movement of permitted vehicles would be from 10 am to 4 pm only. The Sinthan top and adjoining areas attracts heavy snowfall during winter as a result of which the road annually remains closed for five to six months from December.
