Srinagar: In its efforts to contain the outbreak and to ensure health safety of public, police-public interaction meeting was held by Budgam Police at Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
In a statement issued here on Saturday police said that the interaction meeting was chaired by SDPO Chrar-i-Sharief Saleem Jahangir Lone accompanied by SHO PS Chrar-i-Sharief. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens of these areas including Namberdars and Chokidars
The main aim of the meeting was to spread awareness about the government’s guidelines about anti-covid containment measures. SOPs to be followed were also spelled out to them for further awareness among general public.
During the meeting, participants were briefed about the importance of vaccination and were also urged to take necessary steps for implementation of recent government orders and advisories issued by various authorities from time to time about Covid-19 containment measures. Participants were also updated about Covid positive patients and advised them not to venture out until they fully recover and till their quarantine period ends. The participants were also asked to ensure social distancing and wear masks at Masajid, in markets and while using public transport. The participants appreciated the efforts of Police for facilitating such meeting where participants express their views freely.
