Srinagar: Police in Budgam on Saturday said that it has seized two vehicles involved in transportation of illegally mined materials in Wadwan Soibugh Budgam.
In a statement issued here on Saturday police said “ a police party from Police Post Soibugh at a check point established at Wadwan Soibugh intercepted 2 tippers loaded with illegally extracted clay but when the Police party signalled them to stop, both the drivers left behind their tippers and fled away from the spot following which the vehicles bearing registration numbers JK09-8199 & JK04C-0571 were seized.
Stating that manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding drivers and efforts are on to effect their arrest, police in it’s statement further said a case FIR No. 154/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation has been initiated.
