Srinagar: A remarkable history was created on the Crest of Food & Civil SupploesSupplies Department, when both the working Organizations merged for safeguarding the rights of Employees, Fair Price Shop dealers and Hamaals. It was a day of immense ecstacy for the entire Department, which celebrated the Union of two Associations.

Chairman Employees Joint Consultative Committee KashmirAijaz Khan said that there will be only one Organization on the name of “Food Supplies Employees Association Kashmir” so far as the representation of Employees, dealers and Hamaals of the Department is concerned. Aijaz Khan who will lead this Organization as “Chairman” said that this Unity was the need of the hour and it is a unity for entire J&K and in fact a move towards the unity of Umbrella Organizations like EJCCK and EJACK.

Khan also revealed that his colleague Riyaz Ahmad Sofi Senior trade Union Leader and President EJACK has been nominated as President of this Organization, who has a great face value and sharp experience of representing the Employees and dealers of the Department. “We will continue to work for the betterment of the Department to the entire satisfaction of Employees and dealers”.

The Chairman EJCCK Aijaz Khan expressed gratitude to all the Seniors who worked as a bridge between the two Associations and helped in the unity of two Organizations. Khan said “ we will look forward for the better future of the Department and we see this change helping Government as well in upbringing the transparency in the administrative affairs”.

Khan said “ I owe gratitude to all those who compromised for this Unity, to prevail. We can no longer ignore the contribution of former Chairman of CAPD Employees Association Kashmir Mir Farooq wachi, who provided opportunity to the young leaders to come up by dropping himself from the valued profile. There are many others like him who have struggled and survived the tough times in the Department”.

Khan lastly in his concluding remarks said that the emergence of Food Supplies Employees Association will surely focus on the long pending demands of Employees, Dealers and Hamaals. This Unity has lit up a hope in the hearts of all the workers of the Department and it will be our prime duty not to disappoint any of the Employee or Dealer of the Department”.
