18 gms of Heroin, 96 bottles of illicit liquor recovered, 400 litres of lahan destroyed at Miran Sahib Jammu,2 accused arrested: Police

Jammu: Police in Jammu on Friday said that it has recovered 18 gms of heroin,96 bottles of illicit liquor and destroyed 400 litres of Lahan at Miran Sahib Jammu.
In a statement issued on Friday police said “Continuing its drive against trafficking of illicit liquor and drug abuse, Jammu Police in Miran Sahib has achieved a major success by arresting two accused alongwith 18 gms of Heroin, 96 bottles of illicit liquor and destroying 400 litres of Lahan” .

Stating that it acted swiftly on the input generated by local intelligence, police in it’s statement furthermore said “ dedicated police team of P/S Miran Sahib led by SHO P/S Miran Sahib Inspr. Sultan Mirza assisted by ICPP Kullain ASI Puran Chand laid naka at Kullian area in the jurisdiction of P/S Miran Sahib whereby they rounded up suspects namely Dheeraj Kumar Sharma S/O Dev Raj R/O Indra Nagar Miran Sahib and Chander Bhushan S/O Ram Lal R/O Rattian. During search, 18 gms of Heroin like substance and 96 illegal liquor bottles were recovered from them”.

Police in it’s statement also said “ case FIR No 62/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act and FIR no 63/2021 U/S 48 A Excise Act got registered in P/S Miran Sahib and accused was arrested”,adding that “subsequently, area domination along with patrolling in Miran Sahib area was carried out and 400 litres of lahan was also recovered and destroyed and further investigation of the case is going on”.

In the concluding para of it’s statement police said “Jammu Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace”.
