10 vehicles involved in illegal mining seized in Jammu : Police

Jammu: Police in Jammu said that it has seized ten vehicles involved in illegal mining in Jammu district.
In a statement issued on Friday police said “Continuing it’s drive against the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which police teams of PS Akhnoor, PS R S Pura, PS Jhajjar Kotli and PP Sainik Colony acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized ten different vehicles involved in illegal mining”. Details of the vehicles seized,according to the police statement, are as under:

1) 2 vehicle i.e 1 dumper bearing registration No. JK02CJ 8366 and 1 tractor without registration No, by PP Sainik Colony

2) 4 vehicles i.e 3 tractor trolleys bearing registration Nos. JK02CC-6418, JK02CE-4021, JK02BG-9913 and 1 vehicle without registration No., by PS Akhnoor

3) 2 vehicles i.e 2 tractor trollies without registration Nos., by PS
R S Pura

4) 2 vehicles i.e 2 tippers bearing Registration No. JK14A 7761 and JK02BF 1458, by PS Jhajjar Kotli

“The vehicles were seized by SHO P/S Akhnoor Inspr. Hilal Azhar, SHO P/S Jhajjar Kotli Inspr.Devinder Singh, SHO P/S R S Pura Inspr. Jai Pal Sharma and I/C PP Sainik Colony SI Rahul Dogra in their respective jurisdictions’, reads the police statement, adding that “the mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&K and in order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action”.
