Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Thursday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of the vaccination drive for 18-44 years of age group, launched last week in the district.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was held upon the vaccination target achieved since its launch, availability of vaccine, mobilization and status of vaccination sites.
The DC sought data from the concerned officers of priority groups including Yatra service providers, shopkeepers, drivers, people with co-morbidity and other priority groups.
The CMO briefed the DC about the total population of priority groups vaccinated till date and informed 28 vaccination sites are established for achieving the target within the given time frame.
While reviewing the status of vaccination, the DC directed the CMO that vaccination vials shall be available in abundance at these sites besides BMOs should ensure maximum mobilization of target groups in their concerned areas so that the targets are achieved on a daily basis.
Regarding vaccination of Yatra service providers, the Naib Tehsildar Kangan and CEO SDA were directed to ensure vaccination of all service providers at an earliest.
The meeting also discussed the status of 5 bedded Isolation Facility in each panchayat and second dose vaccination for Health Care Workers and other frontline workers.
The DC sought cooperation among all departments and better liaison with the local PRIs so that vaccination of targeted groups is achieved on time.
