Srinagar/June, 3 : Inspector General Of Police Kashmir Range Vijay Kumar on Thursday said no protected persons will be allowed to move without PSO and ground assessment about the local threat.
Kashmir Zone Police on it’s twitter handle quoted IGP Vijay Kumar as saying “No #protectee should go anywhere without PSOs. Visits are allowed only after ground assessment of local #threat is done. Request is to all protectees not to #violate SOPs and risk their lives unnecessarily”. The IGP’s remark comes shortly after suspected militants shot dead a BJP Councillor Rakesh Pandita in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
