SSP Budgam reviews security scenario, law & order situation, COVID-19 , Crime investigation

Srinagar: SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem on Tuesday chaired the security review meeting regarding law & order, preventive measures taken to combat COVID-19 and other crime works.
According to a police statement issued on Tuesday SSP Budgam chaired the security review meeting attended by all SDPOs, SHOs, PPs of district Budgam and discussed different security measures for ensuring peace and stability in the district. He also took stock of the measures to be taken to combat COVID-19. He urged upon the officers to strengthen the general security grid of their respective areas for ensuring peace and stability besides taking stringent action against those involved in antisocial activities particularly those involved in drugs and like substances. He also urged upon the officers to conclude the investigation of criminal cases on merits within stipulated period.
SSP Budgam, according to the above referred police statement, appreciated the efforts of police and other security forces for maintaining peace and stability in the district and emphasised upon them to maintain synergy and better coordination with other security agencies at ground level to maintain the peaceful environment and security in the district. He also appreciated the efforts of police in combating the Coronavirus and maintaining law and order in the district. He directed the officers to strengthen the security grid in their respective areas and plug the gaps in order to avoid untoward incidents in the district.
