Kishtwar:District Youth Services & Sports Department (DYSSD), Kishtwar Monday started Online Yoga Refresher course & e-Learning Training.
Under the direction of Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K Dr. Saleem-ur- Rahman and under the guidance of District Development Commissioner Ashok Sharma, the classes started under the supervision of District Youth services & Sports Officer (DYSSO), Kharati Lal Sharma.
Speaking on the occasion, the DYSSO said that the online yoga classes will be held on daily basis on Yoga Asanas ,Physical Fitness and treatment of sports injuries by departmental resource persons Suresh Sharma and Suman Kant.
He said that the resurgence of covid pandemic has created a widespread concern over its impact on people’s physical and mental health and in this exacting phase, Yoga with its multifaceted benefits is proving to be of great help to the public.
“There is widespread appreciation of the health-promoting aspects of Yoga which go a long way in finding the balance in our day-to-day lives in the changed reality,” he opined.
All the field staff of the sports department Kishtwar joined the online classes with full enthusiasm and shared the event.
