Dir Horticulture reviews functioning of deptt in distts

JammuDirector Horticulture Jammu Ram Savak, Monday convened a meeting of Chief Horticulture Officers of Jammu Division here at Horticulture Complex Talab Tillo to review the progress of various developmental activities (Physical & Financial) being carried out during the current financial year in the Province.
He asked the officers to submit the detail of physical and financial progress made under different departmental schemes i.e. CAPEX budget / Centrally Sponsored Schemes like MIDH, ATMA, PMDP, PMKSY, RKVY and TBO.
He also reviewed the response regarding the sale of fruit plants and value added products in the facilitation centres across Jammu Division and directed the Chief Horticulture Officers to make them fully functional. He also directed them to gear up for Rainy season plantation in sub-tropical areas.
He impressed upon all the officers to make at least two FPOs in each district functional by ending July 2021 and also make efforts to increase the number of units under PMFME.
Deputy Director Horticulture Jammu, Chief Canning Instructor Jammu, Dy. Director Planning Jammu, Assistant Director Horticulture Jammu and other Officers were also present in the meeting.
