Srinagar: As a token of appreciation for their services to the Department the Director General Police Dilbag Singh has sanctioned retirement gift of rupees over 1.4 Crore in favour of one hundred and thirty nine Police personnel of J&K Police who are retiring from services on 31st of May 2021 after attaining superannuation or voluntary retirement.
A police statement issued on Monday sanction for retirement gifts has been granted in favour of three gazetted officers, ninety-seven non gazetted, twenty-seven lower subordinates, eleven followers and one Tehvildar. The personnel, according to the above referred police statement, belong to different units and wings of the department.
“Retirement gift of rupees seventy-five thousand each is sanctioned to police personnel from the Contributory Police Welfare Fund at the time of his/her retirement”, reads the police statement adding that “ the gift serves as a token of appreciation for his/her services rendered to the department”.
Police in it’s statement also said that as a gesture of welfare Police Headquarter (PHQ) has sanctioned over rupees 6.16 Crore retirement gift in favour of eight hundred and twenty two police personnel this year so far.
