Shopian:A day long training program for covid-19 management and possible 3rd wave was organized by the health deptt. here at meeting hall mini secretariat Arhama Shopian Monday.
A team of Doctors headed by Dr Syed Manzoor Qadri, Assistant Director DHS Kashmir including master trainers Dr.Nasir Shamas, Dr. Akeela, Dr. Saiqa, and Dr. Masarat Sultan from Directorate of health services Kashmir imparted training to the Physicians, Medical Officers and Para-medical staff of district Shopian as a part of administration’s capacity building measures to deal with the pandemic.
On the occasion CMO, Dr Arshid Tak said “A big team will be helpful in case of a community spread or when there is an influx of expatriates,”. He said that such training programmes will also be conducted at block level.
On the occasion, the participants were given hands-on training in critical care. This includes the SOP and operation of various equipment. The participants are trained to handle all possible emergencies, that is to sustain the patient’s life until the specialist doctor arrives.
