Awantipora: COVID-19 Vaccination Drive for teaching and non-teaching staff members of Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) for age groups between 18-44 years started at the University Campus on Thursday. The drive is being organised by the University Health Centre in collaboration with Sub-district Hospital Pampore. The University has already issued a notification instructing all the employees aged between 18-44 years to get themselves vaccinated compulsorily during the said drive.
Medical Officer IUST, Dr.ZahidaRasool informed that 131 employees of IUST have been vaccinated on 27th and 28th May 2021. Dr.Zahida also informed that the 2nd drive will also continue during the next week.
Earlier, the University vaccinated 68 teaching and non-teaching staff members aged 45 years and above during the 1st Vaccination Drive held at the University campus on 9th April this year.
Meanwhile Registrar IUST, Prof. NaseerIqbal expressed satisfaction with respect to the participation of employees during both the vaccination drives. He also thanked the authorities of Sub-district Hospital Pampore for their collaboration in making the drives successful.
