Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Friday visited various panchayats of block Hayhama and inspected establishment of Covid Care Centres (CCCs) in these panchayats.
The DC inspected various Covid Care Centres established at panchayat level including Sulkoot, Halmatpora and other places of the Hayhama block.
He stressed upon the PRIs to ensure smooth functioning of the Covid Care Centre in their jurisdiction so that the people who do not have proper space for self isolation at home will get benefitted.
The DC also inspected 30 bedded Covid Centre at NTPHC Gonipora and took stock of the health care facilities provided by the hospital administration.
Talking to media persons, the DC said that healthcare facilities are being augmented to tackle the Covid situation in the district and major improvements are expected in coming days in this regard.
On the way, the DC inspected 10 MVA receiving station Hayhama. He directed the concerned engineers for its timely completion so that the people of Hayhama block would be benefitted in general.
The DC during the visit was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Chief Education Officer Kupwara and other concerned officers.
