Criminals arrested at R S Pura Jammu, Sharp edged weapons recovered: Police

Jammu: Police in Jammu on Friday said that it has arrested four notorious criminals after receiving an advance input about their plans to attack some persons in R S Pura area of Jammu district. Police also said that it has recovered sharp edged weapons from the accused.

In a statement issued on Friday police said “acting swiftly and after collaboration of human and technical intelligence Police parties formed under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan and led by SHO P/S Miran Sahib Inspr. Sultan Mirza and I/C SHO P/S RS Pura SI Ranjit Singh raided various hideouts and arrested 4 criminals namely Pankaj kashyap @ Panku S/O vijay kumar, Dheeraj kumar S/O Mahinder pal, Abhimanu Sharma @ Mannu S/O Rampal all residents of RS Pura and Rajinder singh @Rashu S/O Rashpal Singh R/O Samba, stating therein further that four sharp edged weapons were also recovered from their possession.

Stating that one vehicle number JK21F -7907 is also seized which was meant to be used for the commission of crime, police in it’s statement further said “ a case FIR No 108/2021 US 4/25 AAct,120 B IPC was lodged at police station RS Pura and investigation was set into motion to find out further links”, stating therein further that more arrests are also expected in this.
