Ramban:Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam Thursday inaugurated street solar lights installed by the Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) in district Ramban.
A total 950 solar lights have been sanctioned for the district out of which 95 solar lights work on Remote Monitoring System.
Senior Superintendent of Police, P D Nitya, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal, Dy. SP Rajinder Singh Chib and several other senior officers and representatives of JAKEDA were also present on the occasion.
After inaugurating solar lights installed on both sides of Maitra bridge, the Deputy Commissioner thanked Chief Executive Officer, JAKEDA, J&K, Babila Rakwal for providing adequate numbers of solar lights to install in public places in the district.
It was informed that the first lot of 285 solar lights has reached in the district out of which 200 have been installed at public places and prominent locations by the engineering wing of JAKEDA under the supervision of Regional Officer JAKEDA, Deepak Sharma.
