Jammu: Police in Jammu on Thursday said that it has seized eight different vehicles involved in illegal mining in Jammu.
In a statement issued on Thursday police said “acting tough on the menace of illegal mining, a multi-pronged strategy was devised by Jammu Police in which dedicated police teams of PS Domana, PS Nagrota, PP Sidhra and PP Phallain Mandal acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized eight different vehicles involved in illegal mining. Details of the vehicles seized, according to the police statement, are as under:
1) 4 vehicles i.e 4 tractor trollies bearing Registration No. JK02CK/7714, Chasis No 00211, Chasis No. MRK 02471 and Chasis No. BE 02300, by PP Phallain Mandal
2) 1 vehicle i.e 1 tractor trolley without Registration No, by PS Domana
3) 2 vehicles i.e 2 tractor trollies bearing Registration No. JK02BJ/8793 and Chasis 08821, by PS Nagrota
4) 1 vehicle i.e 1 tractor trolley with Chasis No. MBNAAAEFAJJJ00561, by PP Sidhra
In the concluding para of it’s statement police said that mining was done in violation of order of High Court of J&k and henceforth to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action.
