Shopian- The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Tuesday visited District Hospital Shopian and Sub-District Hospital Keller to take stock of the facilities being provided to the patients in these hospitals especially to the Covid-19 positive cases.
During the visit, the DC also took stock of adherence to SOPs by the health functionaries and people in general to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
At District Hospital Shopian, the DC also took stock of the Oxygen concentration plant and exhorted upon the health functionaries to work with dedication and leave no stone unturned in providing the Covid patients better healthcare facilities within the shortest possible time so that they do not have to face any kind of inconvenience.
The DC during the visit to District Hospital Shopian and Sub-District Hospital Keller inspected various sections of the hospitals including Emergency Wards and OPDs. He interacted with the patients and enquired about the health facilities being provided by the Hospital Administration to them and assured the health functionaries of every possible help from the District Administration.
During the inspection of both the hospitals, Vaishya checked the usage of masks and adherence of Covid appropriate behaviour and emphasized for adopting the guidelines in letter and spirit.
At SDH Keller, the DC also took stock of some ongoing developmental works and directed the executing agencies for early completion of these works within a time bound manner.
Later, the DC appealed to the general public to follow Covid appropriate behaviour and make use of masks, sanitizers to protect themselves from the pandemic. He also urged upon the people to avoid unnecessary venturing out of their homes.
The DC during the visit was accompanied by Tehsildar Shopian, Bilal Ahmed besides other district officers.
