Srinagar/May,25 : Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Tuesday started Vaccination drive in the Srinagar city.
In a statement issued on Tuesday Srinagar Municipal Corporation said “the vaccination was taken up at Ward 2 Lalchowk, 3 Dal, 8 Makhdoom Sahib, 11 Lalbazaar, 13 Bayport, 15 Nagbal, 16 soura,18 Safa Kadal, 19 Palpora, 20 Jamallata, 21 Islamayarbal, 22 Karan Nagar, 24 Bemina, 25 HMT , 26 Maloora”.
Stating that Mayor Srinagar Junaid Azim Mattu along with Commissioner SMC Athar Amir, concerned Corporators and other officers visited these SMC vaccination centres including Lal Chowk, Batapora Vaccination centre, Illahibagh, General Bagh Makhdoom Sahib, Girls Higher Secondary School Nagbal, and other vaccination centres to review the on going Vaccination program at these places”, SMC in it’s statement further said ” Mattu at these vaccination centres passed on clear instructions that the vaccination will be done between 18 to 44 age group and strictly to the people who have community exposure, i.e , priority group of street vendors, vegetable & fruit sellers, dhabawalas, bakers, milkmen, persons doing door to door delivery eg repairmen etc after proper surveys and registration by concerned ward officers”.
