Srinagar: The People`s Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Dr Aijaz Ahmad Beg, brother of the party General Secretary (Organization) Dr Mehboob Beg.
In a statement issued here on Monday the party President Mehboba Mufti expressed solidarity with Dr Mehboob Beg and his family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul. “Apart from being the son of one of the main architects of modern Jammu & Kashmir Late Mirza Mohammad Afzal Beg Sahab, Dr Aijaz was a pious soul and a great professional who devoted his life to work for people in general and marginalized sections of the society in particular. May Allah grant Jannah to Aijaz sahib and give strength to his family to bear this irreparable loss,” Mehbooba said.
