Shopian: The District Development Commissioner, (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Monday convened a meeting here to review pace and progress of various ongoing developmental projects in the district.
While reviewing project-wise status of works, it was informed that mega developmental works are at the final stage of completion in the district. He stressed upon the executing agencies to ensure completion of the projects at an earliest, so that the same are dedicated to the public within a fixed time-line.
He said that by commissioning of these projects, Shopian district will witness a sea change in the development profile.
The DDC also held discussions on some new developmental projects and the work on these projects is expected to be started soon.
He directed the line departments to maintain close coordination and work in tandem in shifting of utilities for the smooth tendering and formulation of DPRs as well as construction works within a shortest possible time to facilitate the common masses who have great expectations with the Government.
He also enjoined upon executing agencies to expedite the pace of work, so that the prestigious project can be completed in a time-bound manner.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, General Manager-JKPCC, Assistant Commissioner Development, Chief Medical Officer, District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Engineers and other concerned.
