Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Kupwara, Imam Din Monday inspected Sub District Hospital, Sogam which has been designated as COVID Reserve Hospital to facilitate health care facilities in the Lolab Subdivision of Kupwara district.
Vice Chairperson, District Development Council (DDC), Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir, DDC Member Sogam, Nasir Nazir Lone were also present at the occasion.
The Deputy Commissioner and the dignitaries inspected various sections of the Hospital and took stock of the basic requirements for further augmentation of the Hospital.
On the occasion the facilities like power, water supply, sanitation and other requirements were discussed and directions were passed on to augment these facilities in a time bound manner so that the Hospital is made fully functional.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the objective of conducting a joint inspection of the Hospital was to review the facilities for both COVID and Non- COVID patients in the Hospital.
He also reviewed Covid containment measures, sampling and vaccination process and directed CMO and other concerned officers to intensify the vaccination and sampling at Sub Centre level.
SDM Lolab, Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineers of R&B, PDD,PHE, DGM PCC, Nodal Officer Covid Control Room Kupwara and other concerned officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
