Srinagar: Amid surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths, Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a total of two FIRs , arrested four people and also realised fine of Rs 1,50,190 /- from 1182 in the last 24 hours in Kashmir for defying the prevailing lockdown restrictions aimed at containing the disease transmission.
In a statement issued on Sunday police said that it is taking all measures to implement strict lockdown restriction announced by the government for containing community transmission of the covid -19 pandemic”.
Stating that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued in all the Valley districts to ensure strict adherence to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic, police in the concluding para of it’s statement appealed people to cooperate with it in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/ rotocols for the safety of the people,reiterating therein that special drive shall continue in all the valley districts to strengthen the safety measures.
