Jammu: Police in Jammu on Sunday said that it has seized four different vehicles involved in illegal mining in Jammu .
In a statement issued on Sunday police said that continuing it’s strive to curb menace of illegal mining, dedicated police teams of PS Jhajjar Kotli and BPP Gajansoo acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized four different vehicles involved in illegal mining.
Details of the vehicles seized, according to the police statement, are as under:
1) 2 vehicles i.e 1 tipper bearing Registration No. JK02AH 6586 and 1 tractor by PS Jhajjar Kotli.
2) 2 vehicles i.e 1 tipper bearing Registration No JK02AW 8159 and 1 JCB by BPP Gajansoo
“The mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&K”, reads the police statement, adding that “ to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law, Jammu Police has initiated strict action”.
