G’bal: To manage Covid-19 cases effectively in rural areas, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Saturday chaired a meeting of concerned officers to discuss the modalities for establishment of 5-bedded Covid Care Centers (CCCs) in each Panchayat as ordered by the Lt. Governor of J&K.
At the outset, the DC said that the Covid care centres in each Panchayat would be equipped with 05 isolated beds, Covid kits having medicines, oximeters, glucometers, well trained medical staff and other necessary equipment as per the requirements.
The meeting was informed that this basic minimum infrastructure shall be created to provide isolation facilities at Panchayat level as many households may not have the option for isolation of Covid positive patients at their own residence.

The DC asked all the concerned officers to work in coordination and ensure all the facilities including procurement of required equipment are put in place at the earliest so that a well equipped COVID isolation facility is set up in every Panchayat within the stipulated time frame.
The BMOs were asked to work with added zeal and in coordination with local PRIs besides Special focus is laid on managing Covid at rural level with enhanced surveillance, screening, isolation and awareness generation on Covid-19 management and behaviour change.
The meeting was attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Farooq Ahmed Baba, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Bilques Jan, Chief Planning Officer, CMO, Dy.CEO, BMOs and other concerned.
