Shopian Police solves theft case

Srinagar: Police in Shopian on Friday said that it has solved a robbery case here by arresting two accused persons involved in the crime and recovered the stolen items from them.
In a statement issued here on Friday police said “Police Station Shopian received a written complaint from Intizamiya Committee of Jamia Masjid Shopian mention there in that some unknown thief/thieves have stolen a donation box along with money from Jamia Masjid Shopian during the intervening night of 28-29/04/2021”.
Stating that during the course of investigation, officers using all available means learnt about the involvement of two accused persons identified as Arif Ahmed Bhat son of Mohd Yaseen & Owais Ahmed Lone son of Ab Hamid Lone both residents of Sedow Shopian following which both the accused persons were and shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody, police in it’s statement said “ On the disclosure of the accused the stolen property was recovered and further investigation of the case is in progress”.
