4 arrested for making illicit liquor in Kahna Chak Jammu : Police

Jammu/ May,21 : Police in Jammu on Friday said that it has arrested four persons for making illicit liquor at Khana Chak Jammu.
In a statement issued on Friday police said “acting swiftly on an input received through reliable sources, a police team of P/S Kahna Chak led by SHO P/S Kahna Chak Inspr. Vishav Partap Singh  rounded up four suspects identified as Leela Dhar S/O Tikam Dass R/O Choria Tehsil and Distt. Janjgir Champa (Chattisgarh) A/P Kangrail, Sanjay Kumar Sahu S/O Ganpat Lal Sahu R/O Bhagoti Tehsil Kharska Distt. Rai garh (Chattisgarh) A/P Kangrail, Veer Singh S/O Bait Ram R/O Bhagoti Tehsil Khasia Distt. Janjgir Champa (Chattisgarh) A/P Kangrail and  Rattan Lal S/O Janak Ram Sonwani R/O AkaskaTehsil Sakti Distt.janjgir Champa (Chattisgarh) A/P Kangrail. Police in it’s above referred statement said that the accused were making illicit liquor in a  brick klin at Kangrail, stating therein that during search, 80 ltrs. Lahan and 750 ml  illicit liquor from their possession.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police said ” case FIR No. 69/2021 U/S 48(e) Excise Act got registered at P/S Kahna Chak and the accused got arrested” , adding that “further investigation of the case is going on”.
