Srinagar: Police in Anantnag on Wednesday said that it destroyed illegal poppy cultivation in Sirigufwara area of Bijbehara .
In a statement issued here on Wednesday police said “a party of Police Station Srigufwara led by SHO PS Srigufwara along with revenue and excise departments destroyed illegal poppy cultivation spread over 27 kanals of land in Badroo and Liver villages of district Anantnag”.
In the concluded para of it’s above reffered statement police appealed people to cooperate with it and come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood.
