DDC Chairperson Ramban reviews formulation of Distt Dev Plan

Ramban: Chairperson, District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan Monday chaired a joint meeting of District and Block council members to review the progress on formulation of District Development Plan (Capex Budget) for the fiscal 2021-22, here Monday at Conference Hall, Maitra.
BDC Chairpersons, DDC Members, Additional District Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner Development, DPO and other senior officers attended the meeting.
The Chairperson exhorted upon the BDCs and DDC members to put in coordinated efforts to expedite the process of formulation of an effective District Plan to meet the development aspirations of the public.
The Chairperson asked the members to complete the ongoing development works on priority to provide early benefit to the people of the district. She also highlighted the need for dedicated efforts from all three tiers of PRIs to develop durable assets to strengthen basic infrastructure in the district.
She asked the PRIs to take all the stakeholders on board in formulation of Development Plans in accordance with the ceiling conveyed to them and to ensure the best use of available resources.
On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion was held on the developmental scenario of the district, wherein the chairperson stressed on ensuring public participation while formulating development plans at grassroots level. She emphasized upon the PRIs to play a proactive role so that all the necessities are completed well within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, the chairperson took a brief appraisal of the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and programmes during which she exhorted to ensure that these schemes are implemented effectively at the ground level.
Later, the ADC, who is the Chief Executive Officer of the council along with officers of Rural Development Department, also discussed various aspects associated with the district plan with.
