Jammu:Police in Jammu on Sunday said that it has seized four different vehicles were involved in mining activities in parts of Jammu district.
A police statement issued on Sunday said “ in an act of alertness and prompt action four different vehicles involved in illegal mining were seized at different locations by Jammu Police police”, adding that “dedicated teams of P/S Domana, P/S Gharota and P/S Satwari acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas and seized four different vehicles viz (Two dumpers, One Tipper, one tractor trollies) involved in the same” . Details of the vehicles seized, according to the police statement, are as under:
1. One dumper bearing Registration No JK02CA 5040 by P/S Satwari(PP Chatha)
2. One dumper bearing Registration No JK02CL 9162 by P/S Satwari(PP Chatha)
3. One tractor trolly bearing Registration No. JK02AW 5496, by P/S Gharota
4. One Tipper bearing Registration No. JK 02C 5069 by P/S Domana.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement police said “the mining was done in violation of order of Hon’ble High Court of J&K”, adding that “ In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action”.
