Srinagar/May,16: Army on Sunday said that it has diffused an IED in Barapore village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A statement issued by Srinagar based PRO defence said “Following inputs from Jammu & Kashmir Police, a cache of 10 kgs of gellatin sticks and other stores for making IED was recovered at Barapore village in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district”, adding that ” some suspects and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were arrested”.
Stating that government forces on Sunday morning launched an operation based on input about the presence of an IED between Sugan and Turkhwangam in Pulwama district, the PRO defence in his statement said “the government forces detected an IED and defused it and an intense search operation has been launched to nab the militants.
