Jammu/May, 15 : Police in Jammu on Saturday said that it has recovered 15 litres of illicit liquor Bishnah area of Jammu district and also arrested one accused person in this connection. A police statement issued on Saturday said “acting tough on business of illicit liquor, based on specific inputs ,a police party of P/S Bishnah led by SHO P/S Bishnah Inspr Joginder Chib reached on the spot and recovered 15 litres of illicit liquor from the possession of a lady namely Veena Devi W/O Late Bachan Lal R/O Vill. Karail Manhasan Teh. Bishnah Distt. Jammu”, adding that “also, 50 ltrs of lahan was destroyed on spot and moreover utensils, cylinders and other material used for production were also seized”.
Stating that a Case FIR no. 84/2021 U/S 48 (e) Excise Act, 188 IPC was also registered at P/S Bishnah in this connection, police in it’s statement further said ” the accused was arrested and further investigation of the case is going on” .
