Srinagar: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather Wednesday hailed the services of nurses for the Covid-19 mitigation on the International Day of Nurses.
A spokesperson of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir here on Wednesday said the Director in his message hailed the role of nurses in healthcare services and said that they are everyday heroes.
“I appreciate the role of all the healthcare workers, especially the nurses who are fighting the Covid-19 diseases treating patients,” the director said.
He said that the nurses are the backbone of the hospitals and clinics taking care of millions of Covid-19 patients for months after putting their lives at risk. “Nurses are at the forefront of fighting the Covid-19 pandemic. Like doctors and other healthcare workers, nurses are continuously providing high quality care often working without a break,” he said.
The director said the nurses across the globe are showing courage and dedication and are suffering personal sacrifice to care for others. The theme for this year’s International Nurses Day is Nurses: A Voice to Lead – A vision for Future Healthcare
