PG Scholars, House Surgeons at Govt Dental College rue ‘undue delay’ in release of their stipends
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsappTelegramEmail

Srinagar: The Postgraduate (PG) Scholars and House Surgeons working in Government Dental College Srinagar here have rued the ‘callous approach’ of the concerned authorities for undue delay in releasing their stipends and not including them in the recently announced incentives for doctors and other medical staff.
The aggrieved PG Scholars and House Surgeons said that the authorities have been making undue delay in releasing their stipends even though the majority of hospital services are being run by them.
They said that they literally have to beg before the concerned authorities for the release of their stipends. “It is unfortunate that the government has also not included them in the recently announced incentives for doctors and other medical staff, working to fight the ongoing Covid-19 crisis,” they said.
They said that they should have included in the recently announced incentives scheme as they have been working at par with their fellow medicos if not more than them
