Baramulla: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar accompanied by concerned functionaries Saturday paid a visit to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla to get the first hand appraisal of its functioning and to review the pace and position of ongoing construction work.
On the occasion, the DDC took a detailed appraisal of several aspects associated with the GMC during which he was appraised by the concerned authorities about the current position of the college.
Meanwhile, the DDC issued strict directions to the concerned agencies to abide by the timeline of completion and said that any kind of laxity won’t be tolerated.
He emphasized upon the executing agency to work in double shift with added zeal and synergy so that the target is achieved well within the stipulated time frame. He also directed to mobilize the available resources efficiently and productively for achieving the desired results.
Meanwhile, the DDC directed to follow all the requisite COVID-19 SOPs and guidelines at construction sites so that any kind of eventuality is averted. He said that strict adherence of advisories is the only way out to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
