Srinagar/ May,9 : Srinagar Municipal Corporation on Sunday said that it has constituted 35 Vaccination Support Units (VSU) to aid and assist Health and Family Welfare vaccination teams in Srinagar City.
A statement issued by Srinagar Municipal Corporation said ” Vaccination Support Units (VSUs) will help in crowd management, registrations, sanitation and cleanliness, & post-vaccination follow up at the centres”, adding that “VSUs will also assist the department of Health in enforcing the Home Isolation protocols of positive patients and in containment zones”. SMC in it’s statement also said that the units will also work closely with Sanitisation squads to ensure timely sanitisation and fumigation!
Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khanrd conducted meeting in which Joint Commissioner Adm, District Immunisation Officer Srinagar and Zonal Health Officers of Srinagar City were present .He discussed the ongoing vaccination drive and formalised the strategy to make it more effective and smooth.
