Chairperson DDC Kishtwar discusses modalities to finalize Capex Budget 2021-22

Kishtwar: To discuss the modalities for the formulation of developmental plan under District Capex Budget 2021-2022, District Development Council chairperson Kishtwar, Pooja Thakur Friday chaired a meeting of DDC members and concerned District officers here at conference Hall of DC Office Complex .
District Development Commissioner, Ashok Sharma, DDC members, Joint Director Planning,, Assistant commissioner Revenue, besides other District officers, and XEns attended the meeting.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner apprised the DDC members about various modalities and guidelines for the formulation of the plans under the District Capex budget 2021-22.He asked the DDC members to utilise the DDC grant amounting to Rs 10 crore judiciously in high priority sectors under District Development plan in coordination with various departments.
He informed the DDC members that a special thrust shall be laid on formulation of viable District Employment plan, District drinking water plan, District Health plan, District Sports activity plan and District Road Development plans as per the guidelines issued by the Finance Department.
Speaking at the meeting, DDC Chairperson Pooja Thakur urged all the DDC members and District officers to coordinate with each other in devising the plans on rational basis and without any bias to maintain the sanctity of the 3-tier system of Panchayati Raj Institution and also to ensure that the people at large were benefited.
She further asked the DDC members to personally supervise and monitor the pace and quality of the works to be undertaken during this financial year in their respective jurisdiction and also lay special stress on the execution and completion of the work taken up under previous year plan.
While focusing on the larger developmental projects, the DDC chairperson laid stress on taking these projects in convergence mode so that the pace of these works is not hampered and tangible results were achieved in the implementation of all the schemes in the stipulated time period.
Meanwhile, the DDC Kishtwar asked the DDC members to submit their respective plan within two days to facilitate the finalization of District Capex Budget and submission to finance department for further course of action.
