Sopore: Sopore police on Thursday booked eleven (11 ) Shopkeepers for Violating covid-19 curfew protocol. They have been arrested and registered case under FIR No. 111/2021 U/S 188, 269 IPC in Police Station Sopore .
Official sources said that cases have been also registered under FIR No. 83/2021 U/S 188, 430 IPC in Police Station Dangiwacha against four tractor drivers for illegal mining.
Sopore police in a statement issued on Thursday appealed people to adhere to covid-19 SOPs and warned that strict actions will be taken against all those who violate the guidelines. The statement also said that though people have been hit badly this time by the deadly covid-19 virus but some people are taking it so lightly that despite knowing the consequences of the virus they violate the government protocols. Sopore Police in it’s statement also sought the cooperation for containing the spread of the virus .
