Covid violations in Kashmir: 620 violators fined, 79 FIRs registered , 143 arrested

Srinagar: Implementing the Covid-19 guidelines/SOPs/restrictions strictly throughout the valley, police has arrested 143 persons, lodged 79 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of ₹84,930/- from 620 people for violating the guidelines/rules throughout Kashmir valley.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police while placing on record the action taken on violation of covid guidelines also said that seven vehicles were also seized in Budgam and Bandipora for violating guidelines/restrictions.
“The special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic”, reads the above referred police statement.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police asked people to cooperate with it in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/guidelines/protocols for the safety of the people, reiterating therein that special drive shall remain continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.
